PLEASE CLICK HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE THIS STORY

Kelsey Landis. an introverted grad student, has spent most of her young life being a pushover. A walking victim. People took advantage of her, didn’t take her seriously and disposed of her when they got what they wanted from her.

So it was a major surprise and shock the day quite by accident, she learned that her days of being taken advantage of were over. It was a new dawn; a  new day and she was feeling really good. She had been empowered with some strange ability that was going to make Kelsey a force to be reckoned with.

The first inkling to Kelsey that she had her new ability was when her argumentative  best friend Liz, uncharacteristically does Kelsey’s bidding with no push back. She just dropped everything and set off to do what she was asked. This gets Kelsey thinking.

Next, Kelsey decides she needs to test her theory of her empowerment on the Dean of the College’s English department. And mysteriously the Dean acquiesces. Soon, Kelsey has anyone she comes in contact with eager to do her bidding. Then a light goes off in Kelsey’s brain.

As a result of her new ability she unintentionally got her best friend Liz is a lot of trouble. So much trouble Liz is expelled. Kelsey determines it is her obligation to fix the problem for her friend and enthusiastically heads out on her mission of mercy. Then she might just work on her lackluster love life after that.

ANOTHER SELECTION

Eve was born with the unique capability to bounce through time. She can leap planets, times, and change identity. But she can’t regulate when it happens.

Smashwords – Another Selection – a book by Candice Christian

Eve has a rare, and unbelievable ability to travel through time. She can actually do it, but most professionals in the medical and physics field, think she’s a crackpot. But she is not.

There are times that she feels she has a sign on her back asking for attention, as she is pursued by intergalactic alien females looking for her lesbian services and more than once she escaped by the skin of her teeth. Only the fortuitous time jumps have rescued her from certain demise.

Eve’s biggest event as a result of her rare ability is how she met her wife, when she was eighteen, and she was thirty six. Years later they married but, her wife Laotta remembers her visits to her youth, but she has no recollection of those visits.

She tell her about the lascivious and debauched times she, an eighteen year old had with the thirty six year old, when she came to visit. This troubles Eve because of her scruples about the age difference and thinks it’s wrong, especially when they first were intimate.

As a result, Eve decides to rectify this, the next time she makes a jump to the past, when Laotta was a teenager, she tries to prevent the initial intimacy, and wait the fifteen year for her to attain a comparable age to Eve.

Meet FOLX

The queer community has gone too long with inadequate health care. TG FOLX is here.

By Gabrielle Kassel

December 03, 2020

TeleHealth Platform Made By Queer People for Queer People

Fact: The majority of health care providers do not receive LGBTQ competency training, and therefore are not able to provide LGBTQ-inclusive care. Research by advocacy groups shows that 56 percent of LGBTQ individuals have been discriminated against while seeking medical treatment, and worse, more than 20 percent report facing harsh language or unwanted physical contact in health care settings. These percentages are even higher for BIPOC queer folks, according to a survey by the Center for American Progress.

These sad stats have critical implications for the physical and mental health and longevity of people in the queer community — and they certainly do nothing to remedy queer folks’ increased risk for things including suicide, substance abuse, sexually transmitted infections, anxiety and depression, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.

That’s why the launch of a health services provider built by queer people for queer people, is so damn important. Introducing: FOLX.

What is FOLX?

“FOLX is the first LGBTQIA-focused digital health platform in the world,” says A.G. Breitenstein, founder and CEO of FOLX, who identifies as genderqueer (she/they). Think of FOLX as OneMedical for the queer community.

FOLX is not a primary caregiver. So, they aren’t who you’ll go to if you have a sore throat or think you might have COVID-19. Instead, they offer care around three essential pillars of health: identity, sex, and family. “FOLX is who you would go to for hormone replacement therapy, sexual health and wellness care, and help with family creation,” explains Breitenstein. (Related: A Glossary of All the LGBTQ+ Terms Allies Should Know)

FOLX offers at-home STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming hormones (aka hormone replacement therapy or HRT), access to PrEP (a daily medicine that can reduce your risk of getting HIV if exposed to the virus), and erectile dysfunction care and support.

The company’s services are available for anyone older than 18 who identifies as LGBTQ+ and who is looking to receive sexual health, identity, and family care by an affirming care provider. (Breitenstein notes that eventually, FOLX aims to offer trans pediatric care with parental guidance and consent.) Services are offered via video or online chat, depending on where you live and your state’s regulations. This is notable because it gives LGBTQ people access to LGBTQ-friendly health care, even if they live somewhere that’s not so accepting.

Don’t Other Telehealth Providers Offer This?

None of FOLX medical offerings are new to the world of medicine. But, what sets FOLX apart is that patients can guarantee that they’re going to be in the care of an affirming provider, and they can trust that any photos or written information (think: pamphlets, artwork, and marketing materials) they see when working with that provider are inclusive.

Additionally, the way FOLX delivers their care is different: Traditional health care companies, for example, have been offering direct-to-consumer, convenient at-home STD test kits for a few years now. But FOLX helps you figure out which type of testing is right for you based on the sex acts you partake in. If, for instance, oral sex and anal sex has been a staple of your sex life, the FOLX providers may recommend an oral and/or anal swab — an offering most other at-home STD kits do not offer. (Related: Yes, Oral STIs Are a Thing: Here’s What You Need to Know)

Likewise, telehealth services such as The Pill Club and Nurx have all played a role in revolutionizing birth control access by offering online appointments with medical pros who can write contraceptive prescriptions and even delivering birth control right to your door. What makes FOLX special is that trans and nonbinary patients interested in avoiding pregnancy can access that care, knowing that they won’t come face-to-face with a doctor who doesn’t know how to handle their identity or gendered language, marketing, or imagery. (Great news: While FOLX is the only platform that’s dedicated exclusively to serving the LGBTQ+ community, they aren’t the only ones working to offer more inclusive service. Another online birth control provider, SimpleHealth, just launched additional treatment options along with accurate gender identity and pronoun categories for pre-HRT trans men looking to continue or start birth control.)

Nurx, Plush Care, and The Prep Hub also allow you to buy PrEP online. And while these other hubs do a great job making PrEP available to all genders (not just cisgender men!), FOLX allows pleasure-seekers to access PrEP through the same provider that they’re accessing contraceptives and STI testing, making it that much easier for people to stay on top of their sexual health.

FOLX Health Care Providers Aren’t Like Other Doctors

FOLX has entirely re-thought the patient-clinician relationship. Unlike other providers whose number one priority is to diagnose patients, “FOLX priority is to provide medical services that support who you are, celebrate who you are, and help you achieve what is important for you in terms of sex, gender, and family,” explains Breitenstein. (Note: FOLX does not currently offer any mental health-related care. For an LGBTQ-affirming therapist check out the National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color NetworkThe Association of LGBTQ Psychiatrists, and Gay and Lesbian Medical Association.)

How does FOLX provide “celebratory” care, exactly? “By offering all the best practices of clinical care (quality, knowledgable, risk-aware), but within a stigma-free, shame-free environment,” they say. And because every FOLX providers are educated on all the ins and outs of queer and trans health, patients can trust that they’re getting accurate, holistic care. (Sadly, this is not the norm — research shows that just 53 percent of doctors report feeling confident in their knowledge of the health needs of LGB patients.)

The brilliance of the FOLX framework is most obvious when you consider what it looks like for patients seeking access to gender-affirming hormones. FOLX does not work with a gatekeeper model (wherein people interested in HRT need to get a referral letter from a mental health provider) which is still the norm in many places, explains Kate Steinle, N.P., FOLX’s chief clinical officer and former director of trans/non-binary care at Planned Parenthood. Instead, “FOLX works solely based on informed consent,” says Steinle.

Here’s what that looks like: If a patient is interested in gender-affirming hormones, they’ll indicate as much on the patient intake-form, as well as share the rate of changes they are hoping to see. “A FOLX provider will give the patient information and guidance around what a good starting dose of hormones would be based on that information,” says Steinle. The provider will also make sure that the patient understands “the risk associated with that type of treatment, and helps the patient deduce whether or not they feel comfortable with those risks,” she says. Once they’re on the same page, the FOLX provider will then prescribe the hormones. With FOLX, it really is that straight-forward.

“FOLX does not see HRT as something that fixes patients or cures a disease state,” says Steinle. “FOLX thinks of it as something that gives people access to self-empowerment, joy, and a way of experiencing the world you want to live in.”

Yazmin Monet Watkins creates her own labels!

NOVEMBER 3, 2020

BY JILLIAN EUGENIOS

Bisexual poet Yazmin Monet Watkins creates her own labels and loves without limits.

Even though Yazmin Monet Watkins identifies as a bisexual African American woman, she isn’t one to attach herself to other people’s labels—and isn’t afraid to coin her own.

When she found that her new book, Love Without Limits: The Bi-Laws of Love, didn’t fit into an existing genre, she made one up. She calls her multidisciplinary project “poetography,” because it showcases not just her poems but photographs by several photographers from all around the country.

An artist across a spectrum that includes acting and writing, Watkins describes herself as someone who feels deeply. “I’m just a human being, trying to document this experience of being human,” she says.

Watkins does everything she can to infuse life into her work, and says that when it happens she can really reach people. “I’m a spoken word poet, so a lot of the poems that are in the book I also perform. I’m working with a couple filmmakers to make more poetry-music videos. There’s so much room for exploration and creativity and growth.”

Watkins says her poetry is for the masses, and brings it to the street in unexpected places. She says it’s a way to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes. She once performed at a college that she describes as “very fratty.” The event was called Lady Rush, and it was a talent pageant that doubled as a fundraiser for the senior class.

The college’s feminist collective, which was against pageantry, was protesting the event outside the building.

Inside, Watkins chose to perform her poem “This Is What a Feminist Looks Like.” She says, “It was cool to be able to infiltrate the system and tell my story in a way that was entertaining but also educational…a couple basketball jocks came up to me afterward and said, ‘I can relate to that.’ ”

While Watkins says it is her queer feminist leanings that most often inspire her poetry, her own love stories and her experiences with religion influence her work as well. She wrote the poem “Sunday Socks,” in which she quotes from Leviticus, to deal with the assertion that if you’re gay you can’t be a Christian. “I grew up in a Pentecostal Apostolic, gay-bashing type of church,” she says. “I still maintain that relationship with the spirit of God or whatever, but the poem was a response to that.”

Watkins says it has been a learning experience to accept and be comfortable in her own voice, and to be able to share her message wherever she is. “I think it’s an interesting place, being bisexual, because you’re not fully gay, you’re not fully straight. There have been a few looks where it’s like, ‘Hey, wait a minute, you were with a girl before, what are you doing with a guy?’ Or from the opposite side, ‘What are you doing with a girl, I thought you were straight?’ As corny as it sounds, I love without limits.”

Whether Watkins is at queer events with a boyfriend or at straight events with a girlfriend, she says it means the most to her when people on both sides of the fence remind her that she’s always family, regardless of who she’s dating. (yazminmonetwatkins.com)

DOMMES in SUB’S CLOTHING

Lesbian Erotica and is approached by a fan, through her blog, to write a BDSM story for them.

PLEASE CLICK HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE THIS STORY

An erotic writer for a number of years, Leigh was approached, through her blog, to write a story about bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism, something she really knew nothing about. And her first attempts left her frustrated.

Fed up with her writer’s block she decides to reach out to the fan and ask them for some background to help her make the story more realistic and erotic. She learns that the FAN was actually a lesbian couple into the BDSM lifestyle and gets herself invited to their place for a weekend to do some research on the subject.

The weekend begins with tentativeness and nervousness, then moves from polite behavior to overt advances by the couple. The couple are Terri and Kaitlyn, and Leigh quickly assumes that Terri is the Domme and Kaitlyn is the Sub. Especially during the first ad hoc lesson the two lesbians generously provide Leigh.

Following her first experience of the weekend, Leigh warms to the idea of the rough lesbian style of sex and is ready and willing to continue with more of the same. Giving her an opportunity to demonstrate what a quick learner she is. However, that’s when things go sideways and she soon realizes the research project the two had offered, is nothing but a pretense to get her in their clutches. And that neither is the Sub and both are Dommes.

The girls submit their bodies, physically and mentally to the Lectors that instruct them, then provide for their own Mistresses after their learning is over for the day.

Sarah was the first to be taken by Mistress Hardin, who used cunning and sorcery to subdue the beautiful young girl. When Kaylie learns of how Sarah was tricked into her servitude, she decides to confront Sarah’s Mistress, but things take a turn for the worse and it isn’t long before she too is taken into servitude by Mistress Hardin.

The two girls suffer their time in the conservatory and with their Mistress, all the while plotting a time when they are Mistresses and they can repay Mistress Hardin for her harsh and devious treatment. But, fate smiles and as it happens the two don’t have to wait quite that long. After a long bath together the two initiate their plan just before Mistress sends them to bed.

Film Review: Tomb Raider

Alicia Vikander delivers a lean Lara Croft in this action reboot.

NOVEMBER 25, 2020|BY MERRYN JOHNS

I wasn’t expecting lesbians in Tomb Raider, the new prequel to the 2001 and 2003 versions starring Angelina Jolie. And yet the film opens with an androgynous lesbian in a boxing ring putting Lara Croft (played by a taut and toned Alicia Vikander) through her paces. The anonymous dyke even defeats our heroine with a headlock, but not before Lara realizes her limits and sets her sights on exceeding them. So thank you, unnamed lesbian character, for putting our protagonist on her path!

While this edgy, gritty reboot may offer less Lara Croft eye candy than our Angelina (Norwegian director Roar Uthaug seems immune to objectifying his female subjects), there are some welcome amendments to the Tomb Raider formula including the casting of Oscar-winner Vikander herself: she is no iconic plump-lipped bombshell in body-hugging fetishwear — not that there’s anything wrong with that!).

I personally miss Jolie’s iconic performance of a Lara that fit the end-of-the-millennium, post-lesbian chic vibe perfectly. But oh, how times have changed with (necessary) super-serious social media-driven feminism and the advancement of big screen special effects. This movie packs more punch and this Lara is dressed for rugged action and self-defence. She’s determined to find out how her father, Sir Richard Croft (played by Dominic West) died, and she refuses to inherit the family fortune or take a bubble bath until she does.

Cue old-fashioned stuff about a secret chamber, antique puzzles, enigmatic maps, a priceless amulet…and then the action sequences begin, such as Lara fighting to survive a gargantuan storm in the Devil Sea, and escaping from a rusty skeleton of an airplane perched over a plunging ravine via a tattered parachute.

Vikander is mesmerizing with her ridiculously toned abs and her soulful, expressive eyes. Watch her run, swim, scale rocks, and leap over chasms while panting, grimacing in pain, and grieving her father. She’s not so much a computer avatar as she is a young woman for the #MeToo protest generation who is battling the odds set by crazy or corrupt older folks. This heiress in denial refuses her fate and would rather stubbornly pursue her own instincts.
