Rosamund Pike is back doing what she does best as a woman with no morals and a sharp haircut in the first trailer for Netflix’s upcoming film I Care A Lot, about a woman who builds an empire grifting elderly people out of their homes.

The trailer starts with Pike’s character in a sunshine yellow suit with a smile that could kill. “Good morning Ms. Peterson, I’m sorry to disturb you so early,” she tells Dianne Wiest’s character, “the court has ruled that you require assistance taking care of yourself… the court has appointed me your legal guardian.” And just like that, the game is on.

Pike stars in the movie, alongside Wiest as the victim of her scam, Eiza González (Baby Driver) as her business and romantic partner (yes, we’ve got lesbians!), and Peter Dinklage as the career criminal Pike makes the mistake of crossing. Neither Pike nor González are publicly known to identify as queer.

“My name is Marla Grayson, and I’m someone who cares,” Pike says in the trailer, and honestly, I’m all in. We LOVE an evil and highly competent lesbian. It’s like Gone Girl but with the added bonus of she’s gay.

It’s a darkly humorous trailer, highlighting how heartless Grayson is. She tosses out bon mots like “there’s two types of people in this world: predators and prey,” and “I am a lioness” and god I am GAY. Please step on me Marla Grayson.

We’re only halfway through January, and already it’s looking like a great year for movies about queer women. Not only are we getting I Care A Lot, but the trailer for The United States vs. Billie Holiday starring Andra Day as the bisexual jazz legend just dropped. As did the trailer for The World to Come, a dramatic period piece about two white lesbians. We’ve also got Jodie Foster in the political thriller The Mauritanian, and our first look at action star Tig Notaro in Zach Snyder’s upcoming zombie movie, Army of the Dead. This is going to be another great year for queer women on screen.

The film is written and directed by J. Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed). Also featuring Chris Messina, Isaiah Whitlock, Jr., and Alicia Witt, I Care A Lot premieres on Netflix on February 19.
