Beth is a thirty-something still living in the town she was born in. She started working right out of high school and eventually found a job she loved, a boss who treated her like a queen. But surprisingly, the inhabitants enjoy most of the twenty first century conveniences including air travel, which is used in warfare in this future time. All this due to the clever use of steam power, and gears.

Shay accidently comes across a young person caught in an air raid and rushes to their rescue. Afterward Shay learns the young person is a princess,  Princess Diire and her mother is the queen, Queen Weena,  of one of the villages in the region. Shay is invited back to the village to meet the tribal leaders and relate her story of life on the twenty first century. Her stay in the village exposes Shay to a number of cultural eccentricities, which Shay accepts without question.

Larry was so skilled in what he could accomplish with X-6969Z that he could infiltrate areas a regular cop could never hope to go. The bad guys were aware of the technology and concocted a plan to use the technology against the cops.  

The plot was devised by the biggest crime family led by “Morsa” Cortez and so devious was the plot they had made it appear that Vicki and Larry had doctored evidence and had video to prove it. The shocking development soon had Vicki deskbound and Larry in hiding. The only option available to the crime unit was to call in the inventor of the technology to find Larry and find a way to clear his name and Vicki’s.

Long-time lovers, Amber and Luke recently had one of the girls, Jennifer from Luke’s hardware store come on to him. Amber discovers Jennifer’s intentions and invites her over to settle the matter once and for all.

When Amber tries to rest after working a long day, she keeps getting woke by the incessant ringing of the house phone. Shocked at Amber’s request, Luke does as she asks.

Jennifer believes she is being invited to Luke’s while Amber is working and is outraged when she realizes Amber is there at home. The discussion that follows is quite direct, Amber tells Jennifer she can have Luke but she has to go through Amber to get him. At first, Jennifer thinks it’s a setup and Luke will help Amber subdue her but Amber quickly puts that idea to rest and ties Luke to a chair. Then the discussion began.
