Inexplicably whisked away during a performance in a topless club, a woman finds herself in a strange world, standing along the shore of an ocean where the atmosphere is saturated in a murky myst. From the dancers perspective the answers she gets from the chamber maid is all riddles and non-sequiturs. At last, the older woman tells her she needs bathed and clothed and promises to send a maid to attend to her. The maid who arrives minutes later, is not the typical maid, rather a very lovey girl of eighteen. Her beauty leave the lost dancer speechless, made even move so when she begins to bathe her nude body with a sponge and a pail of warm water. Jylyn, a Wrod, is on a secret mission from the Empress and arrives in Revendale at sunrise. She is bearing the royal letter of protection and despite that knowledge the welcoming committee is less than cordial as she is rendered unarmed and bound and dragged into a meeting with the Centurion, Tazmyn the commander of the Revendale’s defenses.

The Centurion’s reception was hardly filled with gratitude. The Centurion silently evaluates the striking Wrod, a sub race of the Elven Nation, before her. Taz thinks to herself the haughty attitude of the Traveler needs taken down a peg or two, letting her know this is the Centurion’s city and not some supposed messenger from her ladyship Empress Jacquilyn.

The Centurion clears the hall where she is holding her meeting and locks the doors. Fearing any harsh treatment given the traveler, if witnessed by others could prove disastrous. Once alone Jylyn is subjected to the Centurion’s wrath but doesn’t break. This fact bodes well for the messenger, because only a royal warrior of the Empress could withstand Tazmyn’s rage. Jylyn entered the hall a bound intruder but left as a trusted ally of the Centurion.
