After deciding to take over her father’s place in the world of Magic, Morgan Whitney sought out the magic shop her father used for props and other magic paraphernalia. On arriving at the shop, she met the former owners’ daughter who now owned the shop. Fiona the young owner helped get Morgan started with simple tricks, stage presence, sexy costumes and suggested a likely candidate for an assistant.
Her first show was at a humble venue, and she shared the bill with other variety acts. Getting to the venue early in hopes of getting a lay of the landscape, she nearly ended her career by tripping over some equipment and hitting her head. Fortunately, another performer saw her fall and rushed to her rescue. During her brief convalescence she learned that performers get romance where ever they can. Something Morgan remembered for the rest of her career.
Fiona, realizing that Morgan would still need a mentor, she suggested she ask Kimberly Knight, a well-known magician that just happens to be coming to the area to perform. Maybe catch her act and meet her backstage. Morgan went to watch Kimberly, but it seemed meeting her would be difficult. With some great advice from Fiona, the two magicians met in the empty auditorium. By the time Morgan and Kimberly ended their impromptu meeting it was obvious that Kimberly was eager to help Morgan. Little knowing what the price might be.
