Since Margot was over eighteen when this happened, and already in college, there was only the promise by Whitney to allow the girl to stay at her place when not in school like over college breaks. Holidays, Margot would stay at Whitney’s rather palatial home near Boston. And over time the two became close. Whitney providing not only a place to live but advise about living in an adult world.
