When Blake received her master’s degree, she delayed her PhD because she thought she would get a job easily and save some money until I got accepted for my PhD candidacy. I got 3 offers. All but one offer was below $50,000 per year. So, she went back to search more job offers. She discovered a position, with a six figure salary, teaching at an exclusive private girl’s college. For girls with special needs?

The college only accepted special girls. They were not all geniuses, nor were they physically or mentally challenged. They were normal girls that had been teased beyond belief through grade and high school. The college brings them in as freshman after their bodies have developed. The girls had been bullied, beat-up, spit on, all because they were born different. The college was looking for someone who could be a teacher, and a friend to them.

Blake told them, in her opinion the young women that they spoke of are people. Persons with feelings that have been hurt, just because they were born with something extra is not their fault! Then Blake was told the school has a program set up for new instructors. It was given on campus to provide an in-depth understanding of the special needs. She would need to complete that training before the new semester began. She knew she was going to love it here.

I currently have become interested in music by Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kelsea Ballerini. I have a real liking for Kay Scarpetta, by Patricia Cornwell.
