The space cruise bound for the Trappist system would leave after all of its passengers had boarded. The last of the passengers were a New Zealand family: Charys and her parents. With only two to a room, Charys, 18 had to share a room with an American, Raika, also 18.

Charys was eighteen years old and had recently graduated from high school. It was her first time out of the Solar System, and she wanted to experience all that there was to experience on Hydra, their destination. She was very excited because Gliese 581g was reaching its perihelion, making it summer for the gas giant and its Earth-like moon, the perfect time for surfing.
She and her parents were the last passengers to board the luxury space cruise ship, The Journey II. Once on board they discovered all the room accommodations were for two people. Charys gladly took another room, which she would share with a roommate. When Charys got to her room, one side of the room already had someone else’s belongings on it and she knew that her roommate had already arrived.
Already unpacking her luggage, Charys saw the bathroom door slid aside, and a girl exited, wearing only a towel around her otherwise naked body. She had straight, blond, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. She was tanned, indicating that the girl had been in the sun a lot. Oh yes, this was going to be one hell of a vacation Charys thought to herself.
