Shannon and Megan, a rather attractive lesbian couple have lived together for ages. Outwardly they are best friends, have two very devoted boyfriends and  are at least to their families heterosexuals. The charade is maintained due to Shannon’s refusal to come out as gay. That means Megan must begrudgingly stay in the closet.

The two women work hard to keep their secret from friends and family and actually have their families over for Sunday Dinner regularly. Shannon is so obsessive about her secret that she refuses to let Megan display any overt signs of the romance outside their bedroom, which is a source of frustration for Megan, who would come out in a second and announce to the world her love for Shannon.

Eventually a real test was presented to them when Shannon got an invitation to her class reunion. Taking Megan as her date would send up red flags lamented Shannon. Taking a proactive approach, Shannon asks her boyfriend, because all her friends are aware of their relationship. Selling the event as a boring obligation she wished to avoid, her boyfriend begged off thus providing the cautious Shannon an accepted alibi for dragging Megan along. Or so she thought.
