Sharon began her life adventure after college as a twenty-something with an average romantic history of three real relationships, one that disintegrated dramatically, since then she been involved in several one-offs. A typical social life, two cats, a one-bedroom apartment in Covington, KY and no car since she lived right on the bus line. But over time her life evolved, due in large part to her promotion to Account Executive with a large advertising firm in Cincinnati, she acquired some close friends and that improved her social life.
Her closest friend was Melanie, who she was the sister she never had and did everything with her, cried on her shoulder, listened to her failed romances. But Saturday nights had now become a big part of Sharon and Melanie’s world. While seated at the bar in a favorite spot in town, Mel on potty break, Sharon pondered how people just enter your world and – whoosh! – things will never be the same again.
That is when she saw the dark-haired beauty walk in. She walked into the bar with a real grace, and Sharon was transfixed. She noticed other girls were with her, but I wasn’t looking at them. Thinking she had discovered the meaning of life; Sharon shared her discovery with Mel. Typical of Mel; she never seemed to think anyone Sharon liked was good enough for her. Sharon didn’t agreed, thinking the brunette was quite something. And that is how the adventure began.
I am a writer, not an author. I write about current affairs, social issues and developing lifestyles. A trained philosopher, I have been enthralled with the Existentialists for many years. I have not made up my mind regarding New Wave culture. Only time will tell if it is for real.
From and early age I felt Lesbian romance is a much underserved segment in the literary world, and in feature cinema, etc. It generally is presented as a male fantasy and it dehumanizes the people that are the characters in the work. The world is changing and to some degree the gap that existed 30 years ago is being filled.
My vision for this Blog, is to treat the subject with an open mind. It will be explored from many angles, and many opinions. The state of LBGT community in the early 21st century is expanding. This expansion is a bit lopsided however, as 3 times as many females are self identifying with the lesbian of bisexual life style. This has fascinated me for some time and except for some minor exploration on my part I have The blog will feature as many elements of the subject, from around the world. This blog has been a dream of mine for a very long time and hope you are not disappointed in the contents.
A huge Beatles Fan, and James Bond fan. I currently have become interested in music by Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kelsea Ballerini. I have a real liking for Kay Scarpetta, by Patricia Cornwell.
