Bonita Salazar, changed her name to Bonnie West and found it easy to get hired by a large jewelry chain in Miami. Bonnie is part of huge criminal organization run by her boyfriend. He sent her on a mission to get established with the jewelry chain, gain their confidence and then quietly slip away with millions in jewels.

The Jewelry chain owner eventually realizes that Bonnie had to be the culprit but hasn’t any proof. He hired Jessie Lord a private investigator when the Miami police seem to be dragging their feet and fail to make any progress. Eventually the case is turned over to the FBI and the owner thinks the whole mess will be buried on someone’s desk and he will get the jewels back. Deperate, the owner hires Jessie and has her interview the employees. As a result she is convinced that Bonnie is the culprit.  

By now Bonnie is long gone, in hiding somewhere in the Florida Keys. In a stroke of luck, Jessie gets a tip that the thief is in fact in the Keys, living in a nudist retreat. Bonnie’s plans are to lay low and when the coast is clear, hop a fast boat to Havana with the jewels. The quick thinking PI develops a plan that with allow her to get close to Bonnie before she escapes, and calls in the Feds to take he into custody. It’s the perfect plan, or is it?
