Jill and Leigh are the wives of two men, Derek and Jack who work long hours to build their start-up business leaving Jill and Leigh alone together much too often. The last episode of this occurs when the wives get a call, just before a big gala event, that their husbands have been called way to Europe on business with new clients that are potentially their biggest account yet.
Two very unhappy wives, go to the event alone and apologize to their hosts for their husband’s absence. When the two return to Leigh’s, Jill can see that her friend is visibly upset and offers to stay the night to make sure Leigh will be alright. They planned to entertain themselves in Leigh’s hot tub, but it seemed to be out of order when they attempted to use it. Leaving the unclothed wives shivering outside trying to get back indoors.
Jack and Derek’s frequent all-nighters at work begin to force Jill and Leigh to spend a great deal of time together and during this time, the wives learn that the startup company is being audited by the IRS, with uncovers an embezzlement and then the death of Jack when his private plane crashes. All this draws Jill and Leigh ever closer and eventually into a romantic entanglement. When Leigh is accused of killing Jack she is thankful she Jill who believes in her innocence.
